Terms & Conditions

Warranties

All our products are manufactured to the highest quality. As such, we are able to offer you a genuine warranty on all our products. A 2-year warranty is offered on all of our lights, excluding globes, if installed by a qualified electrician. Please contact our sales or customer service team for further information on individual products. Silicon Lighting reserves the right not to apply the warranty in cases of inappropriate use or when the product has been tampered with by a third party or interventions by non-authorized personal.

Warranty period on all products is from date of purchase of the original product only, not when any product is repaired or replaced.

Please note:

  • Products that have been installed cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Products may differ from those pictured on the website due to natural variations in colour/ finish and scale of the image.

Changing or cancelling orders

  • You have the right to cancel your full-price purchase and receive a full refund provided you notify us in writing as set out in (3) below that you are exercising this right of cancellation no later than 2 working days (i.e. excluding weekends and bank holidays) beginning with the day after Silicon lighting receive your deposit of the order. Full-price purchase includes items that are not on sale or with no discounts given. Deposits cannot be refunded after 2 working days.
  • Items that are on sale or on discount are strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Deposits on such items are non-refundable. Warranty on sales item is 1-year.

Custom-made items:

Please note no return or exchange will be accepted. Silicon Lighting does not offer any refund on custom-made items.

If your order is cancelled by us, you will receive an email or phone call which will explain the reason for the cancellation. You will not be billed for any cancelled items.

Return policy
Delivery discrepancies:
Any discrepancies must be reported as soon as is reasonable after delivery or pick up, preferably within 24hrs. On arrival, if the packaging appears to be damaged it is recommended that this is marked on the delivery note before you sign.

Missing items:
On delivery: Should an item be missed or appeared to not have delivered then we request that you notify us in writing as soon as possible, preferably within 24hrs of initial receipt of delivery.

On assembly: Should a part appear to be missing from an item please report the item in writing that has the missing part along with a description of the part you believe to be missing.
On both the above instances replacement goods will be dispatched as soon as possible.

Faulty goods:
Damages: must be reported as soon as is reasonable after the delivery, preferably within 24hrs of receipt of goods.

Under Warranty: Report the fault to us with a full description of the alleged fault once you identify it, and Silicon Lighting will arrange an engineer to attend and either rectify the fault on site or advise on action needed to remedy. If the fault is deemed a manufacturing fault and the item is under guarantee then we will replace or repair the faulty item free of charge.

Not under Warranty: Report the fault to us with a full description of the alleged fault, and Silicon Lighting will arrange an engineer to attend and either rectify the fault on site or advise on action needed to remedy with cost borne by you.

Please note that missing or faulty items/ parts are non-refundable or exchangeable. Silicon Lighting will either repair or replace the missing or faulty items/ parts if deemed a manufacturing fault.

Shipping of goods

Goods that require to order/ custom-made will generally arrive within the time frame of 6-8 weeks. Unforeseen circumstances may arise which will result in a delay of shipment. Items that are delayed are non-refundable or exchangeable. Silicon Lighting will strive to keep within the time frame agreed.

Limitation of Liability
we shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property, lost income, profits, economic or commercial losses and third parties claims.

Exclusions of Liability
Any disclaimers and exclusions of liability in these terms & conditions shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Silicon Lighting or any of its employees or agents or fraud. These disclaimers and exclusions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Law. If any provisions of these disclaimers and exclusions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

we reserve the right to change these terms & conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible.
